Burglaries
10/22- At 3:59 p.m., the manager of Indian Oaks Trailer Park reportedly saw someone breaking into a home on Johnson Boulevard. No arrest was made and a K-9 Officer conducted a search.
10/26- at 6:51 a.m., a glass front door at Neil and Patty's Fireside Grill was broken and the safe was burglarized. The business was damaged and money was stolen.
10/27- A home along the 200 block of Linnwood Ave. was broken into on Oct. 26th with several items missing.
11/1- a window on Penn St. was broken.
11/10- a shed was broken into along the 600 block of Penn St.
11/10- a woman said she was home alone with three teens and three dogs and that someone was trying to get into her home by turning the door knob. An 18-year-old male from New Albany was arrested for alleged disorderly conduct on Lincoln Dr.
Violence
10/22- At 6:42 p.m., a verbal argument was reported for a residence on Declaration Drive.
10/23- At 5:39 p.m., after yelling was reported, a woman said she needed her keys back from an estranged boyfriend at Washington Dr.
10/24- At 12:25 p.m., a person was not available to police after a report on Terry Lane regarding threats to a neighbor regarding a ditch that was dug after a recent flood.
10/26- Unknown threat at Ivy Tech Community College.
10/26- Argument, Edgewood Dr.
10/26- A man was concerned about his property after an argument with a woman residing with him at Millview Dr. She was instructed on obtaining an emergency protective order after she reported that the man allegedly threatened her life.
10/27- A male reported that his ex-girlfriend allegedly harassed him, damaged his car and battered him leaving a red mark on his body. Police told him how to get a protective order although he did not pursue battery charges.
10/27- An estranged husband reportedly approached his wife with a knife while at a residence on Washington Dr., located in the Indian Oaks Trailer Park. The couple is allegedly separated maritally and nobody was arrested.
10/29- a domestic disturbance was reported for a residence at Utica Ave.
10/30- after an argument was reported on Penn St., a 33-year-old woman from Sellersburg was arrested for alleged domestic battery, disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.
10/30- an employee at Circle K reportedly received threats from a man who allegedly told her that someone was going to kill her and/or that he was allegedly not afraid to hit the woman.
11/1- a domestic disturbance was reported at the parking lot on Holman's Lane.
11/1- police checked for a blue car after a report of a fight at the Sellersburg American Legion post.
11/2- strangulation and harassment was reported involving a husband and wife on Wilson Lane.
11/5- a 40-year-old man with blue eyes allegedly fled from the 2000 block of Lincoln Dr. after possibly robbing a person and assaulting him with a hammer. The victim was transported to a hospital in Louisville.

Driving While Intoxicated (D.W.I.'s)
10/24- 3:10 a.m., after a traffic stop at Triangle Drive near Cracker Barrel, a 32-year-old man from Alexandria, VA, was arrested for an alleged DWI offense while refusing a chemical test. Police noticed the man's wallet contained large amounts of cash.
10/29- after a traffic stop at St. Joe Road West, a 40-year-old man from Sellersburg was arrested for alleged DWI with endangerment.
11/1- after an accident at a ditch along Ind. 311, a 68-year-old male from Sellersburg was arrested form OWI with a Breath Alcohol Content of .15 percent or higher (BrACE).
11/2- after a traffic stop at Ind. 311, a 43-year-old man from Charlestown was arrested for refusing a chemical test.
11/13- a 41-year-old man from Louisville was arrested for DWI at Ind. 403.
11/13- after a tip to police, a 54-year-old man from Sellersburg was arrested for alleged DWI with a BrACE of .15 and with endangerment.
11/14- While assisting Jeffersonville Police Dept., a 38-year-old man from Sellersburg was arrested for DWI with a BrACE of .08 and with endangerment.
Juvenile Related Calls
10/22- At 4:43 p.m., two juveniles dialed 911 regarding a missing sibling in the Hill-N-Dale Subdivision. An adult called Sellersburg Police Dept. and reported the said missing child to be OK.
10/25- Juveniles were warned after it was reported that they were hitting each other and were actually playing around at West Utica St.
10/26- at 12:31 a.m., a 13-year-old was allegedly refusing to exit his parents' car while being threatening. The father was said to transport the child to a hospital for an unknown treatment.
10/28- a fight between two female students was reported at Silver Creek Middle School.
10/29- a fight between two females at Silver Creek Middle School was reported .
10/29- a juvenile driver was cited for trespassing at Deifenbach Rd.
10/30- a male juvenile with a history of diabetes was unresponsive on Washington Ave. An ambulance was called.

11/3- after a debit card was stolen, the suspect put the stolen money transactions back in a bank account.

11/10- a man said his ex-wife entered his home at Popp Ave. and took clothing. Police investigated and found that it was not the ex-wife involved, but juveniles who took their own clothes.

10/24- After two police officers went to a resident on East Utica St., a person came out of the woods and was escorted by police to investigate trespassing.
10/25- Lane Ave. was blocked by tree branches, according to a report, although the branches were removed upon police arrival.
10/27- wires were cut on a vehicle at Greenwood Drive.
10/27- police were called to check on debris in the road at Interstate 65 near exit nine. Police were assisting Clark County Sherrif's Dept. at the time of the call.
10/27- an eyewitness on Dreyer Lane reported that a suspect who was possibly African American and wearing a sports coat was walking door-to-door, offering to clean carpets. A sales license is required within Sellersburg Town limits and home invasions can sometimes start with a suspect offering to sell services or an item.

Aug. 3, 2009
-A trailer was stolen the previous night from the 800 block of East Utica Street.
-Extra patrol was requested for Denton Drive after a woman said that someone put trash in her trash can.
-Extra patrol was requested to South Indiana Ave. at Dixon’s Racing after someone left six gallons of used oil on the property. The business suffered a landscaping loss after newly planted trees were dug up.
-Burglary was reported for Madison Drive after a back door was discovered broken and items were missing from the home.
-A woman checked out OK after newspapers and mail were seen piling up at her house on Beechwood Drive.
-After previously speaking to police about the situation, a neighbor on Popp Avenue reported that a tire was once again thrown on a resident’s yard.
-Indiana State Troopers helped in attempting to locate a woman said to be crossing back and forth on Ind. 311.

-A woman who appeared battered and trying to get a drive was walking up and down the roadway tapping on car windows. After investigating, Clark County Sheriffs’s Office took a call for a woman who was struck and had a bruised eye, the altercation taking place along the 7000 block of Ind. 311. The woman was told she could not solicit for rides and that she needed to stay out of the road. She said she was going to walk to Arizona.

-A domestic battery was reported after a female said a man she knew was involved.
-A black 2007 Dodge Caliber was stolen from the 1400 block of Emerald Drive.
-After a vehicle search, two men were arrested for drug and paraphernalia possession while at the parking lot of Sid’s Pub and Alley Cat Lanes.
-After a juvenile’s mother would not let him in his house due to him having several friends along, police arrived. He was allowed in the house alone.
July 17, 2009
-A laptop and air card were stolen from the 600 block of Penn Street.
-While conducting Warrant Service, a 16-year-old female was arrested and transported to the juvenile detention center.
-A woman said her dog got off its chain and a person took possession of it, not returning it until police became involved.
-A man walked into the station and said his apartment loft was burglarized on Helbig Street. Police searched a residence known to the man and located some of the stolen items. A 22-year-old man from Charlestown was arrested for alleged burglary and theft.

-A man said his ex-roommate who lived with his daughter entered her house through a window and that he was not allowed to be in her house. In the end, everyone was allowed to be on the property after it was communicated to all.

-A small radio was stolen from a garden at the 900 block of Allentown Road.

-After a traffic stop, a man was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated at I-65.
-After appearing drunken while in court and having to restrain one of the drunken persons, a man and a woman were arrested for intoxication while at Sellersburg Court. One person who was arrested, a female, told jail that she was injured during the arrest although the report states that police did not touch this person and only placed her wrists in restraints to prevent further injury to her arm that was already broken.

-After responding for a disabled vehicle-call at the 9200 block of State Rd. 60, a man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and for possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
-A 22-year-old female from Charlestown was arrested for alleged public intoxication with a 35-year-old male from Clarksville; he was arrested for never being licensed at the intersection of Broadway and East Utica Street.
-A female’s wallet containing a credit card, social security card, MainSource Bank debit card and driver’s license, was stolen while at Waffle and Steak.

-Juveniles were possibly intoxicated and being loud outside of a residence on North Fern Street.
-A 20-year-old male from Jeffersonville was arrested at East Utica Street for illegal consumption of alcohol.
-A theft report was created for a woman who left the store without paying for diapers.
-A 911 caller said his neighbor nearly struck him on Alabama Ave. “while he was walking his dog with an F-150 Pick Up,” the report states.
-A 29-year-old female from Sellersburg was arrested on Lake Drive for allegedly stealing electricity after it was shut off by REMC.

July 24, 2009
-At around 2:13 a.m., a car was checked after being near the Silver Creek Middle School tennis courts.
-A person said gun shots were heard from Nevada Avenue, in the Hill-In-Dale subdivision.
-After an Orange County Sheriff called regarding a custody dispute, a juvenile was found at an immediate care center for possible battery injuries she sustained from her father.
-A woman from Sellersburg told police that her ex-boyfriend harassed her on the telephone, stalked her and possibly flattened her vehicle’s tires on Oak Street while she was not home.
-After a disagreement occurred during the planning of a wedding, a woman was kicked off of the bride’s wedding party and had to return the dress. She finally was awarded a refund for the dress after letting police now of the situation.
-A dog was impounded from West Delaware Court.
-A 911 hang-up call was sent from Speed Park.

July 29, 2009
-Indiana State Police arrested a person after Sellersburg Police assisted during a traffic stop at mile-marker-8 on I-65.
-A car’s window was busted out on Ohio Avenue in the Hill-N-Dale Subdivision.
-An ambulance was called on South Fern St. for a possible drug overdose.
-A window at Jackson’s Physical Therapy was shot out sometime the previous evening.
-A caller said that a dog was being abused by a male. Officers investigated and the dog’s head was stuck and the owner was trying to get the dog free.
-After a 911 call for Adams Creek Drive, a 44-year-old woman was arrested for alleged domestic battery, interference with reporting a crime and possession of cocaine.
-A caller requested a welfare check for a family of four who were inside a Pontiac Grand Prix; the female appeared to be drinking, according to the caller, and was being yelled at by a male. The vehicle was gone when police arrived.
-A juvenile said she heard water running and voices and that she saw a silhouette leave her residence.

-A warning notice was placed on a door at a house along the 500 block of Foothill Road. The warning was for reported litter and yard sale signs. The Town of Sellersburg has laws controlling when and how yard sale signs are placed.
-A 911 call was received regarding a female who was allegedly disorderly, possibly mentally ill. The woman was given help receiving her medication.
-A juvenile male was arrested and released to his mother after reportedly acting suspicious at Oak Street Apartments.
-After a traffic stop was made along the 400 block of North Indiana Avenue and after it was discovered that a husband and wife allegedly hit each other they were arrested. Both the husband and wife live in Sellersburg on North Indiana Avenue.

-A man from Jeffersonville was arrested on Ind. 60 for allegedly driving while intoxicated with a breath alcohol content of .08 percent and he was arrested previously for another alcohol related offense.

-After a woman returned home from jail for being arrested the previous night, she found her stove’s burners turned on and her microwave torn apart.
-A gun was repossessed.
-A 3-year-old child was reportedly left home alone on Tyler Street — noticed when a renting center came by to collect. No arrests were made. Indiana does not have an age limit regarding children who are left home alone.
-Three children dialed 911 after looking for a missing relative who was sleeping in bed.
-Fireworks were being lit off in the road on Alabama Ave.

-An animal was detained after a trap was set.
-After a traffic stop on Bean Road near railroad tracks, a 57-year-old man from Sellersburg was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated with a breath alcohol content of .08 percent while endangering a passenger.
-A juvenile threatened suicide via knives to his throat. His mother took him to a hospital.
-A female was transported by ambulance to an emergency room after allegedly overdosing on medication.
-A man was arrested for a failure to appear in court warrant after walking near Sellersburg Liquors.
-After a traffic stop on Utica-Sellersburg Road near Ideal Paint and Body, two men on a moped from New Albany were arrested for driving while intoxicated.
-A man was spoken to about urinating outdoors near Sellersburg Liquors. Indiana laws forbid defecating in public and public nudity.
-After alleged domestic battery occurred at Indiana Oaks Trailer Park, a 28-year-old man was arrested for an active warrant.
7/12/09
-A man was arrested after being found passed out in a car at a stop sign on Broadway Street.
-Police tried to locate a black Nissan Maxima with a suspected reckless driver.
-A 32-year-old man was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after a call was made concerning the possibility that he might be intoxicated.
-A car owner said he would move his vehicle after it was reportedly parked for a long time at Carolina and Alabama Ave. in the Hill-N-Dale subdivision.
-A caller said that kids riding mini-bikes were passing cars for two hours at Lakeside Drive.
-A man said a purple mini-van and a silver BMW were driving left of the center line on Ind. 60 near St. Joe Road. Both drivers passed drunk driving tests.
-Eggs were seen on Alabama Ave. with a caller suspecting that an egging had occurred.
-A scream was heard on Alabama Avenue.
7/13/09
-A caller said that a juvenile was threatening to shoot someone with a gun and was leaving the Denton area. A Felony-stop was made with Clark County Sheriff’s Dept. assisting. A female juvenile and a 19-year-old male were arrested on Ind. 60 — charges were illegal possession and consumption of alcohol and the juvenile was released to her mother.
-Dogs were check on after a caller reported neglect.
-Home improvement fraud was reported after a near-$6,000 deposit was given to a construction party. Police informed those involved that this type of crime is for civil court.
-Kids were playing the knock-and-run game at houses on South Fern Street. Officer’s Cotton and Sgt. Levesque spoke to the kids.
-Police spoke to a person after neighbors reported blocked driveways when the person’s daycare is in operation.
-A truck was checked after parking on Lakeside Drive.
-A women reportedly kicked and hit a vehicle before leaving from Lane Avenue. Police spoke to her at Circle K and no charges were filed.

-Harassment was reported on Florida Drive.
-A caller said someone was possibly shooting rabbits near the Clark County Airport and U.S. 31.
-Dogs were removed from a vacant mobile home.
7/15/09
-A woman was arrested for reportedly trying to jump in front of a car on Old. Ind. 60. The 41-year-old woman was arrested for public intoxication.
-Threats were reported at Circle K.
-A man said that someone wearing brass knuckles hit him while he was walking on East Utica Street.
-A fight was reported at Silver Creek Park.
7/16/09
-After a traffic stop on I-65, a man was arrested for drunken driving.
-A 26-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving and his 19-year-old passenger was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor on I-65.
-Kids were said to be driving four-wheeler’s on Allentown Road.
-A man called police because his neighbor’s grass clippings were on his property.
-A woman called police because her lamp was moved and pulled away from her wall.
-A k-9 officer was investigating missing keys from a concession stand at Silver Creek Little League Park.
-A caller said that someone said there was a bomb in the 911 call station and then Jeffersonville P.D. reportedly had a suspect in custody.
Drug dealing charges filed
On July 8th, at 8:08 p.m., Sellersburg Police helped stop a vehicle at Bean Road and Development Way where consent to search the vehicle was granted. A k-9 alerted police that drugs were possibly inside the car.
Police called a poison control center — pills found during the search were positively identified with the chemical acetaminophen, the drug named Lyrica and yellow-colored pills that were not listed in a drug database. The male driver was arrested by the Clark County Sheriff’s Department and charged with alleged drug dealing, possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule IV narcotics and violation of the Indiana Legend Drug Act.
Bean Road and Development Way is located just East of Silver Glade Estates near the Clark County Airport between Interstate 65 and a Sellersburg-based rock quarry.
Tell Police if Minors are Drinking Alcohol Please
On July 7th, at 2:18 in the morning, a 911 call came into the Clark County emergency call center, located in the Town of Sellersburg. A Jeep Grand Cherokee was said to be driving around along the 100 block of Allhands Drive with its lights off — a street in the Cooperdale neighborhood next too Ivy Tech Community College and Ramada Inn. A juvenile was arrested and then released after signing a Promise to Appear in Court document. Charges involved illegal consumption and/or possession of alcohol. The legal drinking age in Indiana is 21.
Burglary reported
On July 7th near midnight, a burglary was reported at a Fulton Street apartment — located near Interstate 65 in the Creston neighborhood and accessible to Parallel Avenue. Several items were stolen — two doors were found unlocked and a window was found open.
July 8th, 2009
-A caller said that three juveniles were looking into vehicles with a flashlight on Mulberry Street. Police searched for a green Ford SUV that may have been involved.
-Two juveniles were given police transport from Ind. 403 near railroad tracks after suspicious behavior.
-A barking dog complaint for Foothill Road was reported.
-A tri-colored dog was seen running near Sharp’s Lane.
-Suspicious people were reported at the 600 block of Florida Drive in the Hill-N-Dale Subdivision.
July 7th, 2009
-A bullet hole through a bedroom window was reported for a house on Sellers Avenue and for a car on Kahl Court. A sling-shot may be part of the crime.
-Kids skateboarding at the Silver Creek High School parking lot were reported after a school employee asked the kids to leave several times.
-A three vehicle accident occurred near Family Dollar and Ind. 60.
July 6th, 2009
-A pile of trash was reported for a house on South Fern Street. Possible animal neglect was also reported.
-A 911 caller reported a male driver of a maroon Honda with blue headlights possibly intoxicated at Ind. 60 near REMC. The car was gone when police arrived.
July 5th, 2009
-Fireworks being set off after midnight were reported for a house along the 500 block of Popp Avenue.
-After a traffic stop on Bean Road near railroad tracks, a 19-year-old woman was arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol. The driver was clocked speeding in a 30MPH zone.
-After a traffic stop at Ind. 311 near Interstate 65, a 25-year-old male from Louisville was arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated while endangering other people and with a breath alcohol content result of .08 percent. Any breath alcohol test above .08 percent is illegal in Indiana.
-A man said his door was found open on Maple Drive after he was gone from the residence for four days. The residence checked secure.
-A man was arrested because of a warrant after police stopped his car at the Five Star parking lot.
-Windows at a business were broken on North Indiana Avenue.
July 4th, 2009 – Independence Day
-After a traffic stop on Ind. 60 near Jay C grocery store, a 42-year-old man from Sellersburg was arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a juvenile in the vehicle and with a breath alcohol content of .08 percent.
-Teenagers shooting fireworks at too close of range to each other was reported for the 500 block of East Utica Street.
-A stove fire occured at a house along the 400 block of East Utica Street.

-A fight between two males was reported at Indian Oaks Trailer Park on Jackson and Hoover Drive.
July 2nd, 2009
-After a traffic stop at St. Joe Road East near Ind. 60, an 18-year-old male from Floyd Knobs was arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated and illegal possession and consumption of alcohol.
-A break-in was investigated for Marathon Gas Station at Ind. 111 and Ind. 60.
-A man from Pennsylvania allegedly threatened to kill a woman and her family via telephone.
-A woman told police that her ex-husband was wanted by Clark County Police. The 49-year-old man from Salem was arrested for the warrant and for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior intoxication arrest and for driving with a breath alcohol content of .08 percent.
-An employee of P & P Garage said a customer left without paying over $300 in fees. Police tracked down the man who said he would resolve payment.
-Four criminal trespass warnings were issued to four juveniles who may have been throwing rocks from railroad tracks near Penn Street and U.S. 31.
July 1st, 2009
-Vehicles were reported at the Silver Creek Little League Park at 3:24 a.m.
-An accident occurred on Butler and Gravel Road where three utility poles were completely removed from the ground. One juvenile was arrested and released to his parents after reportedly leaving the scene of the accident.
-A fight was reported at Silver Creek High School during summer school.
-A window was shot out near 2 a.m. on Alabama Avenue — located in the Hill-in-Dale Subdivision.
-An off-duty police officer reported driving behind a driver, possibly drunken, on U.S. 31 near Kid’s Connection. The driver needed medical clearance from an emergency room before being transported to jail.

-Suspicious bicycles were taken into police custody after a caller reported them near the intersection of Allentown and St. Joe Road.
-A man reported that his medication was stolen either while he was at a friends house with an unknown address or while he was home along Circle Drive.
-$73 was stolen from a wallet while people were swimming in a back yard along Alabama Avenue. A watch and two cameras were later reported missing, and the doorbell was possibly activated during the theft.
-Cigars were stolen from Smokey’s on Ind. 311
-A white Ford Escort reportedly pulled up to a house near a park in Indian Oaks Trailer Park before speeding away. A 25-year-old man from Jeffersonville was arrested on charges of alleged domestic battery.
June 26, 2009
-Two Clark County police units observed suspicious vehicles, a dark Dodge Charger or Challenger and a dark green mid-90’s Chevy Camerro with a silver stripe, make several passes by the Memphis Meat Market on Stricker Road.
-Glass was broken which set off an alarm at Car America.
-Stranded vehicles in standing water were on Penn Street during heavy rains.
-High flood waters were at the 7900 block of Ind. 311.
-A driver was stuck in high water on U.S. 31 near a storage facility.
-A caller wanted a police officer to speak to a man because he was purportedly harassing employees of Sellersburg Town during high water problems.
-Car riders were stuck in high water and needed a ride from U.S. 31 near River Valley Financial Bank.
-A person was seen walking in high water after his or her car was flooded on Penn Street behind Alley Cat Bowling Lanes.
-A car was broken into the previous night along the 1900 block of Gilola Avenue. A wrist watch was stolen.
-One of three kittens bit a woman, drawing blood, after the kittens were under a deck on South New Albany Street. The felines were transported to an animal shelter.
-A woman said that a cat was “hanging out” at her residence on North Fern Street. A trap was set.
-A suspicious black Cadillac was reported at Silver Creek Apartments. Police investigated and the car was parked with a spare tire.
-A shoplifter, the second of this week, was caught on camera at Smoke Shop.
-Assistance was called after a juvenile was disobedient and eventually arrested.
-A car was stuck in flood waters at Utica Street near a quarry.
-A request was made to check on a woman whose home was possibly flooded at Wind Song Apartments.
