Teachers are listed alphabetically. The 200+ response email was very long, each teacher is listed alphabetically-
Jakob .......2nd grade.....Mrs. Anderson
I have been so impressed by the time and devotion she has put into teaching my son. He has learned so much this year, already. He is constantly telling me knew things they are doing and learning, and how much he likes her. She also makes sure us the parents are always kept up to date as to what our children are learning, doing, and any side projects that are coming up. I am very thankful to Mrs Anderson, for all that she does. Sincerely, Kendra
Student: Joey
Teacher: Mr. Balmer
Joey explained that Mr. Balmer is caring and funny. He really likes how he does fun things during the year like wearing Mexican hats and stuff. He is a great teacher who helps him learn. Joey's parents said that it is evident that Mr. Balmer really cares about the children and tries to make a positive impact in their lives. Joey comes home on a daily basis talking about all the adventures that they had in his class. The kids have a lot of respect for him and he is an excellent role model. from Joey's mom

As a parent I think he should be on the nice list because he is always checking to see if the kids understand and he makes Julyen feel good about her accomplishments.
Thanks Mr. Beyl, you rock!

Mrs. Clark-Jacob
Mrs. Clark has brought confidence to Jacob this year that he has not had before. He is constantly talking about doing better, and trying harder for her. She is a wonderful teacher and we are glad she is Jacobs!
Cole /Ms. Condra
We are more than happy to give a reason why we are happy Ms. Condra is our first grade teacher.
When I asked Cole why Ms. Condra should be on Santa’s Good List, his answer was “She is nice, kind and funny. We have fun in the classroom everyday.”
As parents we feel she should be on the list, because she is understanding, kind, patient and fair.
Thank you,
Lori (Cole's Mom)
Mrs. Katie Denton is our son, Cameron's, fifth grade teacher. Mrs. Denton challenges Cameron which is very important to us because he is very competitive and does better work when "stretched" a little. Cameron likes going to school and he has said that Mrs. Denton is one of his favorite teachers, "ever"!!! Thanks, Mrs. Denton for all you do for Cameron and your entire fifth grade class to prepare them for the big jump to middle school.
Sincerely,
Cameron's parents
Ryan – Kindergarten
Mrs. Epkey
Mrs. Epkey deserves to be on Santa’s good list because she is a wonderful teacher. She is great with the students! Ryan talks about how much he loves her and has never had a bad word to say about her. If I email her with questions she always responds and puts my mind at ease. Kindergarten can be scary for a child as it symbolizes a big change in their lives and I believe having Mrs. Epkey as a teacher has helped make the transition a joy! We are truly happy to have her as our teacher!
Nicole's mom
I think Ms. Etheridge (4th grade) should be on Santa's Nice List because "she helps us improve our division and she loves ALL her students."

Jordan just loves her teacher Ms. Everitt. Ms. Everitt has been a wonderful first teacher for my daughter. She is always repeating postive things that Ms. Everitt has told her such as: She loves me, She says I'm smart, I'm quite an artist,Ms. Everitt says she loves my hair, clothes, etc. I can't say enough good things about her. She definitely belongs on Santa's Good List this year.
Thanks, Laura (Jordan's Mom)
Ms. Staci R French
Kiersten - Ms French - 2nd grade
Ms French is special because she let's us do crafts
and rewards us with Funny Money for being good. Also, she has
a treasure box for us to get prizes. She should be
on Santa's good list!!!!!
Rhonda (Kiersten's mom)
Ms. Pam Grantland
We believe Mrs. Grantland should be on the good list for many reasons. One would be that she is a great Teacher who is understanding and patient. Two she is always there when we need something and is quick to help anyone out. Abby has been saying all year that she just wants to stay in first grade forever because she loves having Mrs. Grantland as a Teacher. Another reason and the best of all is when my daughter gets off of the bus everyday with a huge smile on her face saying what a wonderful day she had and she always has something new to tell me about what she has learned from Mrs. Grantland that day. We enjoy having her as Abby's Teacher and we hope she as well as the other students and staff members have a Happy Holiday.
Thanks,
Abby and Abby's mom
My name is Maggie.
My teacher Ms. Hendrich should be on the nice list because she encourages me to try new things.I also like her because she is kind, pretty, and loves everyone in the room.

Dear Santa, Please put Mr. Hobbs on your extra nice list!! This is my first year at Silver Creek, you can imagine how nervous I was about starting in a new school. Mr. Hobbs has been so welcoming to me and my family. Actually Mr. Hobbs is a lot like you Santa, he expects us to be good and he rewards us when we are. Also ask him to tell you some of his funny jokes and stories.
Thank you,
Spencer and Family

Ms. Sheryl Jackson
My daughter, Olivia says her Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Jackson, should be on Santa's Good List this year! Olivia likes Mrs. Jackson because she teaches her a lot of neat stuff so she can be really smart. In her class, they are always doing fun activities. Olivia says that Mrs. Jackson makes learning a lot of fun and always helps her work on her papers in class. Thank you, Olivia's Mom!
Mrs. Kemmer should definately be on Santa's Good List. She has been a wonderful teacher to Sara-Michal this year. She is teaching Sara not only the importance of reading, but she is also opening up a whole new world to her through books. Sara suddenly LOVES to read, and can't wait to see what exciting new things she can read about. It is so much fun to see the stories unfold through her eyes. Mrs. Kemmer even takes to time to e-mail the students about books they are reading at home. She asks questions about what they are reading to encourage thinking and to help them see the "whole picture". Mrs. Kemmer has opened up a whole new world to her students through her love of books and reading. She has passed along her passion and excitement for reading, and for that she should be on Santa's Good List.
Missy and Sara-michal
Gabrielle thinks Mrs. Kerber should be on the good list because she is always nice to her students. Another reason that Mrs. Kerber should be on the good list is that Gabrielle lost her tooth at school. She was given a box to keep it in and it fell out at some point during the day. After school, Gabrielle was very upset and crying. I called Mrs. Kerber and she was able to find the tooth. We went to school to pick up the tooth and Mrs. Kerver had put it in an envelop and even wrote a letter to the tooth fairy explaining what had happened. She saved the day. She is a very caring and thoughtful teacher. We enjoy having her for a teacher because she goes the extra mile and is a positive role model for Gabrielle. We love having her teach our daughter.

Good afternoon Dr. Losey,
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to give a Christmas “shout out” to my daughter’s teacher.
Adia is in Ms. Lewis’ third grade class and both her father and I feel blessed that Adia has such a kind and concerned teacher to lead
her through the 3rd grade. Ms. Lewis seems to take full ownership of her classroom and communicates the value of education to her students.
She continues to challenge Adia to be the best student she can be and I know that Adia will continue to thrive under her tutelage. Adia's Mom
Dear Santa,

Merry Christmas
We would like to nominate Mrs. Mabe for Santa’s Nice List. We are very happy that she is Qi’s kindergarten teacher. We have been in her classroom to help with parties and special events and she is always very kind, patient and caring toward her students. Mrs. Mabe also has amazing classroom management skills – one word or ring of a bell and all of her students are quiet and listening! In fact, one of our favorite sayings at home now is a Mrs. Mabe-ism, “you get what you get and you don’t throw a fit!” Hilarious! Thank you Mrs. Mabe for being such a great teacher and Happy Holidays!
Qi's Parents
Eli Anderson in the preschool/peer program. Eli just loves Miss Megan and all the aids in the class. He, like his sister, loves to learn new things. He is so excited when he gets home in the afternoon to tell me about his day and what he learned with Miss Megan (Martin). She truly has a gift to work with these young children at such a crucial developmental stage in their lives. For her caring and dedication demonstrated in the classroom, I feel she is more than worthy to be on Santa’s Good list.
Eli's Dad
Reilly is in Mrs. McKinley’s 2nd grade class. Anita has been great for Reilly as she goes above and beyond to challenge her on a daily basis. Reilly loves school and loves to learn because of teachers like Anita. Because of her caring and love of teaching I think Anita McKinley should definitely be on Santa’s Good List.
Reilly's Dad
I am the mother of Matt, who is in Mrs. Mitchell’s 1st grade class. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful and caring teacher for our son. He truly loves school and I attribute a lot of that to her. Matt is so fond of her and talks about her and his class all of the time. She goes out of her way to make sure Matthew is challenged intellectually. His reading and vocabulary has improved dramatically while being in her class. To have a teacher touch a child in a way that makes learning fun and rewarding is a true accomplishment. Our family feels truly blessed.
Sincerely,
Matt's Mom
I am glad Max has Mrs. Padgett because she makes her classsroom a fun and interactive place to learn and grow. Max loves the "hands-on" tasks she provides for her students. I am thankful that she challenges Max to go above and beyond what is expected.

With the adjustment from moving from 3rd to 5th grade she has went above and beyond to make sure that she was prepared and organized for the new challenges she faced. She is making our last year at S.C.E.S. memorable and I wish her and her family the best this holiday season. - Keslyn's Mom

Madison - 1st grade student
Ms. Vanover
I think Ms. Vanover should be put on Santa's good list because she is a wonderful teacher. She is so good about keeping me informed about what is going on with Madison at school, not only academically but socially. She is very patient with all of the kids in the class. She goes above and beyond what is expected of her when it comes to the children in her class.
Thanks,
(Madison's Mom)
Kenzie Cooke--4th grade--Mrs. Wesley
Mrs. Wesley should be on "Santa's Good List" because she builds up her student's self esteem. My daughter tends to have low confidence. Mrs. Wesley called our home and left the sweetest message on our answering machine praising Kenzie for her leadership skills and good behavior. The smile didn't leave my daughter's face for days! :) My daughter will remember listening to that message for a long time...
Thanks,
Kenzie's Mom
-We appreciate Ms. Williams' efforts in easing the transition for Madison in starting at a new school. Madison is excited and happy about going to school at Silver Creek and learning in general. We feel that Ms. Williams certainly has played a large part in fostering this attitude. She is a wonderful asset to Silver Creek Elementary.
