ROBERT P. HAUSELMAN, 86, died Aug. 12th at Maple Manor Christian Home. He was a U.S. Marine Staff Sgt. during WWII and the Korean War conflict. He owned R.P. Hauselman Photo Printing and formerly pubished the "Sellersburg Sentinel."
DANNY CRISWELL, 43, left this life Aug. 13th at Floyd Memorial Hospial, New Albany. He worked at Auto Center, he was a mechanic. Respectfully cremated, memorial contributions can be made to his family.
SHARON "BLACK" FRANKLIN, 61, passed away Aug. 21, 2009. She managed Swifty Gas, Charlestown, Sellersburg and Jeffersonville. She was a Jehova Witness, a member of the Charlestown congregation and was preceded in death by a son and daughter. She was respectfully cremated and privately buried at Kingdom Hall, Charlestown.
CHRISTINE C. GUERNSEY, 67, passed away Aug. 18th. She was an accountant for Louisville Bedding, and member of Speed Memorial Church. She loved to go fishing and gardening; she was prceded in death by her parents, Paul and Emma Dickson. She is buried at Sellersburg Cemetary.
BEATRICE ESTHER LOVELY SCHLENK, 88, left his life Aug. 18th, and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church, Jeffersonville. She was formerly employed as a seamstress at the Old Army Plant, Charlestown; she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Schlenk, and her sons: Lenney, Omar, and Jackie Lovely. She is buried at Graceland Memorial Park.
AUTUM MAY WAMPLER, 80, left this life Aug. 18th at Sellersburg's Maple Manor Christian Home. She was a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church; she was a homemaker, and wife. She was preceded in death by husband Jack, Sr., and son Jack, Jr. She is buried in Mount Zion Cemetary.
RICHARD MCCONNELL SIEWERT, 57, passed away Aug. 16th at his home after battling cancer. He retired from GE Appliance Park, was a member of Eastside Christian Church, Jeffersonville, and a Masonic Lodge member. He enjoyed fishing, was preceded in death by his parents, and was buried at Sellersburg Cemetary.
RUBY E. WYNN, 86, of Charlestown and Georgia, died Aug.4. She is survived by her husband, a son, daughters and a sister. She lived in Charlestown until 1985.
SANDRA K. POTEET, 63, of Sellersburg, died Aug. 5 at her home. She is to be buried at Walnut Ridge Cemetary, and she was a pharmacy technician with Cooper Drugs. She belonged to St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Jeffersonville, and is survived by her husband and son.
LILLIAN F. STEWART, 91, of Scottsburg, passed away Aug. 4 in Scott County. She was a homeaker and is survived by her sons, a daughter, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
RAYMOND HENDERSON, 82, of Charlestown, died Aug. 4 in Clarksville. Cremation was his final resting choice.
THOMAS H. CORBETT, SR., 73, of Sellersburg, passed away Aug. 1, 2009 at Clark Memorial Hospital. Burial was private in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany. He was talented in managing and construction, and proudly served the United States Air Force. Son of Louisville's Mr. and Mrs. Harry and Mary Corbett, he is survived by his wife, many children, his brother and family.
BRENDA K. MORRIS, 59, of Charlestown, passed away Aug. 2, 2009 and was born Nov. 21, 1949, in Missouri. She was a nurse assistant. Services will be at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown, Aug. 6. She is survived by two sons, three brothers, five sisters. Visitation starts at noon.
MAXWELL "MAX" E. RUDDELL, 82, passed away July 28, 2009 after retiring from the Evening News as Head Pressman for thirty-two years. Max also served with the US Navy aboard the U.S.S New Orleans; he was a member of Gospel Tabernacle, Sellersburg Moose Lodge, American Legion Post 204, Bonnie Sloan VFW, and Clark Co. Democrats. He is preceded in death by his parents Maxwell and Virgie, and a brother, Albert Ruddell. Garr Funeral Home is managing services.
SHEILA ZUNIGA, 49, of Sellersburg, passed away July 17, 2009. Memorial services were July 23 in Charlestown.
DANNY HALL, 63, passed away July 6, 2009. He was self-employed and a member of R.E.E.L Fishing Club. He is preceded in death by daughter, Kimberly Rose Hall.
DELLA MAE HILL, 82, born Aug. 15, 1926, passed away July 6, 2009, in Sellersburg. Beloved and devoted wife of the former James B. Hill, Sr., a homemaker who worked at Floyd Memorial Hospital and a affiliated with Portland Christian School and Church of Christ, Cherry St. She resided at Maple Manor Christian home for five years.
EDDIE RIEHLE, 45, passed away June 26, 2009. He worked at Bagshaw Trucking, Memphis, as a welder and was a 1981 Silver Creek graduate. He also worked at M.C. General, Sellersburg. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Alice Riehle.
GERALD “TOMMY” SMITH, 54, passed away June 28, 2009 at the V.A. Hospital, Louisville, KY. He served as a United States Marine and worked as a truck driver for Summit Trucking, Inc.
PHILIP L. ANDRES, 96, passed away June 23, 2009. He was born Oct. 27, 1912 in Floyds Knobs, In., to the late George and Mary (Libs) Andres. He was a charter member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Sellersburg, and was a member of the St. Paul Men’s Club. He retired as a joiner operator at Hoosier Panel Veneer Company, New Albany, after 34 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Helen Sprigler Andres; his brothers, Hubert, Leroy, James and Wilford Andres and his sister Katherine Eberle.
